Thorax TEST

TESTERS NEEDED!

Sizes M, L, and 2X are currently full.

I am in search of some testers for my lovely new pattern. The deadline is set for April 1st, as I would like to have the pattern published for this year's Fiber Witch Festival in Salem MA, taking place mid-April.

Thorax is a front cable and textural cropped pullover, designed to mimic the thoracic cage. She is knit seamlessly from top down using DK weight yarn.  Here is what you will need:

Sizes
XS (S, M, L), XL (2X, 3X, 4X, (5X)

Finished bust measurements
35 (37.5, 40, 44), 48 (50, 55.5, 60, (64)” Thorax is designed to be worn with 2-4” of positive ease. Sample is shown on 33” bust with 2” of positive ease.

Materials
Yarn- Lambstrings Yarn Corrie-Spun DK x 3 (4, 4, 5), 5, (6, 6, 6, (7), or appx. 840 (950, 1000, 1100), 1250 (1350, 1450, 1550, (1650) yds of DK weight yarn.
Needles- US#5, #6, and #7 circular knitting needles in 24” and 36”, or preferred  length for knitting in the round.
Notions- tapestry needle, cable needle, 9 removable stitch markers, waste yarn.

Gauge
20 sts/ 26 rows = 4” in stockinette on US#7 needles

Skills used:

  • Basic knit/purl/decrease/increase/eyelet/rib stitches
  • 8 stitch cable
  • German short rows (wrap + turns)

Both charts and written instructions are provided for front cable and textured panels.

Please feel free to use any DK weight yarn you like that matched gauge.

Also please note that yardage is estimated, and is based on similar projects found on Ravelry. Modifying the length of your sweater will affect yardage.
